Survival Craft Inspectorate Ltd has two interrelated divisions which combine to offer a worldwide service to the oil, gas and shipping industries by providing, installing and maintaining life saving and safety equipment.
Survival Craft Service Division
Established in 1991, SCI is headquartered in Aberdeen, Stavanger, Australia and Singapore. The aim of SCI is simple - to properly maintain safety critical equipment such as lifeboats, davits, breathing apparatus and other life saving equipment in the most cost effective manner. The industry was quick to see the safety and cost saving advantages of this service and today we can count almost all the major operators as regular long-term customers.

Survival Craft Marine and Safety Products Division
There has been a similar steady growth in our product range. SCI now design, manufacture, install and maintain SURVIVAL CRAFT lifeboats, Fast Rescue Craft, Davit Launch Systems, Safety, Fire Fighting and related equipment. Our marketing philosophy for these new products is based on the concept of providing a complete after sales service with extended warranties. In this way, the two SCI divisions work together closely to ensure that all the products we sell are properly installed and maintained to give a long and cost effective life.

Our Quality Management System is in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and is approved by BVQI. Project specific quality plans are devised where appropriate.

Competency & Training
Competency training is integral to the development of a safe and multi-skilled workforce and is core to Survival Craft Inspectorate overall proposition. Our policy is to measure competence against Scottish vocational qualifications (SVQ) wherever possible. By adopting SVQ's we are acknowledging the achievement of our workforce by awarding them nationally recognised qualifications, and from the clients perspective, we have a workforce whom can demonstrate their competence in a global market. The SCI award scheme is accredited to a National educational establishment level by the Scottish Qualifications Authority group which is a customised award scheme developed by Survival Craft Inspectorate and validated by SQA.
